General Leasing Questions

How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that we fully furnish all of our apartments. You cannot remove the furniture provided by the community from the unit.

Do I have a meal plan?

Meal plans are not offered at Fifteen 51.

Do you allow pets?

Fifteen 51 is not a pet friendly community, however, we do accept emotional support animals.

How are roommates matched?

Roommates can be matched in a couple different ways -- either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don't have roommates in mind, we are happy to do the matching for you! We use the information that you and your potential roommates fill out on your roommate matching cards to pair you up. Although we cannot guarantee a perfect match, you can rest assured that we do try to find the best match possible. Roommates are paired on a first come, first serve basis.

How close to campus are you?

We are located .5 miles from central campus -- just steps from class!

How many people live there?

Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 323 residents.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Fifteen 51 does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Is parking available?

We have a limited amount of reserved parking spaces available for lease on a first come, first serve basis.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 12 installment leases.

What utilities are included in my rent?

Our residents are responsible for electric.

When can I move in?

We are currently pre-leasing for the Fall 2023 semester. We may have some limited availability for immediate move-ins. Please contact our office for more details!

Renewal Questions

Can I request different roommates?

We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.

What is a "renewal?"

Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at your community!

If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

Yes! If you want to renew, both you and your guarantor will have to sign again. 

If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

When you renew and choose to stay in your current spot, no moving is required!

I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

Contact the office for details on the options available to you.

I just moved in, is it too early to renew?

Renewing now will provide the most benefit to you. By signing early, you will secure your space for next year and take advantage of the best pricing available.

How do I renew?

We know how busy you are, so we have made the process as quick and easy as possible. Renewing is a easy as "1,2,3!" Just following these steps:

1. Open your renewal email from us.
2. Review the terms, and click "Accept"
3. Follow the prompts to sign the new lease agreement.

It's that easy!

When do I start paying the new rent amount?

On the first day of your new lease.
